DAY 1 MADRID – KIEV Meeting in Barajas Airport at the indicated time, to embark on flight to Kiev. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 2 KIEV Breakfast. Panoramic tour of the capital of Ukraine, in which we will be able to contemplate its wide avenues and parks, the Cathedral of Saint Sophia, from the 11th century, converted today into museum, the Golden Gates, Saint Michael’s Cathedral, Saint Andrew’s Church, St Volodymyr’s Cathedral. Lunch. Afternoon departure to see the Kiev Monastery of the Caves and the Shevchenko Theater . Dinner and lodging.
DAY 3 KIEV – POCHAYIV – LVIV Breakfast. Departure, with lunch en route, for the famous Monastery of Pochayiv, the second largest in Ukraine after the Kiev Monastery of the Caves. Continuation to Lviv, the heart and soul of the east of the Ukraine. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 4 LVIV Breakfast. Departure to take a panoramic tour of the city, which was an important cultural center for a long time and which features numerous theaters and museums. Lviv is like an enormous outdoor museum. We will see the Cathedral of Saint George, a fine example of the Roccoco style, Rynok Square, the Opera House, the Lychakiv Cementery, place where the remains of exceptional historians and men of culture from the Ukrain are found, the Saint Nicholas Church. Lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 5 LVIV – KOLOMYIA – CHERNIVTSI Breakfast. Departure for Kolomyia, where we will see the Hutsulschyna Ethnographic Museum and the Pysanka Museum, the Ukrainian Paschal egg, whose origin is ancient and the source of many myths due to its capacity to engeder life. Formerly it was used for worship and it was considered a symbol of the sun and of the universe. The ornamentation of the Pysanka consists mainly of geometric decorations with some plant and animal elements. An important decoration is the stylized symbol of the sun, of a star or of an eight-ointed rose window. Due to Christian influence elements of the cross, the Church and fish were also introduced. Lunch. Continuation to Chernivtsi, capital of the region of Bukovyna. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 6 CHERNIVTSI Breakfast. Departure to take a panoramic tour of Chernivtsi, founded in the 11th century, and situated on the banks of the Prut River and at the feet of the Carpathian Mountains. The buildings of the city are a mixture of Romanesque and Byzantine styles. We will see its stone streets, one of which leads to the Olha Kobylanska Museum, the famous Ukrainian novelist, the Philharmonic Hall, where Enrico Caruso once sang, etc. Lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 7 CHERNIVTSI – KHOTYN – KAMIANETS PODILSKI Breakfast. Departure for Khotyn, city famous for its archaeological, historical and cultural monuments, and, above all, for the fortress, from the 11th to the 18th centuries. Stop to see the Fortress, witness to ferocious battles. Continuation to Kamianets-Podilsky, having lunch en route. Arrival in Kamianets-Podilsky. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 8 KAMIANETS PODILSKY Breakfast. Departure to take a panoramic tour of the city, state historic and cultural reserve that has 100 architectonic monuments of different styles and periods. In the year 1997, the invaluable monuments of the city were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. We will see, among others monuments, the Fortress, architectural military monument from the feudal period. Lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 9 KAMIANETS PODILSKY – KIEV Breakfast. Departure for Kiev, having lunch en route. Arrival, Dinner and lodging.
DAY 10 KIEV – MADRID Breakfast and transfer to the airport at the indicated time to embark on the return flight to Madrid. Arrival and END OF TRIP
