The Cantabrian and Asturias

DAY 1 MADRID – BURGOS – CANTABRIA Arrival at the specified time for departure in coach for Burgos, one of the most interesting cities because of the monuments found within it that give an idea of the importance that it had in earlier times. Panoramic tour of the city, where we will be able to admire the impressive Cathedral. Lunch and Continuation to Cantabria. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 2 CANTABRIA – SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – CANTABRIA Breakfast. Departure for Santander, where we will take a panoramic tour to admire Pereda Gardens, Hernán Cortés Street, the Arcaded Square, the Church of Christ, the Cathedral, the famous Sardinero Beach, etc. Lunch. Continuation to Santillana del Mar, one of the most ancient and beautiful towns not only in Cantabria but in all of Spain. Panoramic tour, during which we will be able to see its impressive buildings, like the Velarde Palace, the Collegiate Church from the 12th century, etc. Return to the hotel. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 3 CANTABRIA – COVADONGA – ASTURIAS Breakfast. Departure for Covadonga, in the Picos de Europe , where, in the year 722 Don Pelayo began the Reconquest of Spain. Tour of the Basilica, located right in the mountains and among forests; in Covadonga nature, religion and history are united. Continuation to Asturias, with lunch en route. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 4 ASTURIAS – OVIEDO – GIJÓN – ASTURIAS Breakfast. In the morning, we will leave to take a full day excursion, with Lunch included, to Oviedo, where we will contemplate the Arch of Saint Vincent, the Church of Royal Saint Mary, the Cathedral, crowned by a single tower, the Square of the Catholic Kings, the historic center with Alfonso II Square, etc. Continuation to Gijón, which features an elegant Maritime Promenade. Return to the hotel. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 5 ASTURIAS Full Board Accommodations. Day free.

DAY 6 ASTURIAS – SALAMANCA – ÁVILA – MADRID Breakfast. Departure for Salamanca. Panoramic tour of this monumental city, intellectual center and city of art, which has one of the oldest universities in Europe. We can admire the Old Cathedral and the New Cathedral, the House of las Conchas (the Seashell House), which has one of the most celebrated facades in all of Spain, etc. Lunch and Continuation to Ávila, city with a Medieval appearance, surrounded by walls from the 11th century. Panoramic tour of the city, birthplace of Saint Teresa, where we can admire the Convent of the Incarnation, the Romanesque Cathedral, houses and palaces built in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, etc. Continuation to Madrid and end of services.
