St. James’ Way

DAY 1 MADRID – ZARAGOZA – JACA Arrival at the specified time in order to leave by coach for Zaragoza. Free time to visit the Basilica of the Pilar. Lunch. Departure for San Juan de the Peña. Continuation to Jaca, capital of the Pirineo Oscense. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 2 JACA – MONASTERY DE LEYRE – JAVIER – SANGÜESA – PAMPLONA Breakfast and panoramic tour of Jaca where the Cathedral of Saint Peter, the Citadel, Town Hall, etc., stand out. Continuation to the Monastery of Leyre. Lunch nearby. Departure for the Castle of Javier with numerous works of art and historic documents. Continuation to Sangüesa. Free time to visit the Church of Saint Mary, to see the Church of Saint James, etc. Continuation to Pamplona. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 3 PAMPLONA – ESTELLA – LOGROÑO – SAN MILLÁN DE the COGOLLA – SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA – BURGOS Breakfast. Departure for Estella, traveling through Bridge the Reina, meeting point of the Aragonese and Narvarro Ways. Arrival in Estella, where you can stroll through the neighborhood of Saint Peter which has a splendid set of civil and religious buildings. Continuation to Logroño. Lunch and Continuation to San Millán de the Cogolla, with a brief stop in Nájera. Visit to the Monasteries of Suso and Yuso, with its majestic Gothic Cloister. Continuation to Santo Domingo de la Calzada. Tour of the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, etc. Continuation to Burgos. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 4 BURGOS – CARRIÓN DE LOS CONDES – SAHAGUN – LEÓN Breakfast and free time to see its Gothic Cathedral. Departure for Carrión traveling through Frómista and Town lcázar de Sirga. Arrival in Carrión, center on St. James’ Way. Lunch and free time to stroll through this lovely city in which the Church of Saint Mary of the Camino, the Church of Saint James, and the Monastery of Saint Zoilo are prominent. Continuation to Sahagún, one of the most prosperous and boisterous towns on the Way. Departure for León, an obligatory stop on St. James’ Way. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 5 LEON – ASTORGA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA Breakfast and tour of the Gothic Cathedral. We will contemplate the Collegiate Church, the Convent de San Marcos, etc. Continuation to Astorga and tour of the Cathedral and the Episcopal Palace, by Gaudí. Lunch. Continuation via Town franca of the Bierzo, Cebreiro, Sarria and Portomarín to Santiago de Compostela. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 6 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA Breakfast and panoramic route through the city, with the Obradoiro Square, its famous Cathedral and the Portico of Glory, its old town. Lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and Lodging.

DAY 7 SANTIAGO – LOWER RÍAS – VIGO Breakfast and departure through Town garcía de Arosa for the Lower Rías, passing through the coastal towns de Sanjenjo, O Grove, Portonovo, Cambados, .etc. Continuation to Vigo.
