Santiago De Compostela (3 Days)
DAY 1 MADRID–ASTORGA–SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA Meet at the agreed upon time to leave by coach for Astorga. Arrival in Astorga, lovely city in which the Episcopal Palace, constructed originally in the times of Doña Urraca, stand out. Its grayish chromaticism makes it stand out over and against the rosy Cathedral. Lunch. After lunch, we will continue on to Santiago de Compostela. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 2 SANTIAGO Breakfast. Visit of the Cathedral of Saint James of Compostela. At 12:00 noon (hour to be confirmed), attendance at the Pilgrim Mass where we can contemplate the Botafumeiro in action, the largest thurible in the Christian world, swung by 8 tiraboleiros. Lunch. In the afternoon city tour with local guide: Plaza of the Obradoiro, Hospital of The Catholic Monarchs, University with its rectory, Plaza of the Platerías, Plaza of the Quintana, entrance through the holy door, Monastery of S. Pelayo, House de Troya, Monastery of Saint Martín, Plaza of the Azabachería and tour of the interior de the Cathedral: Crypt of the Portico, Treasury, Cloister, Library, Archaeological Museum. Return to the hotel in Santiago. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 3 SANTIAGO – PUEBLA DE SANABRIA – MADRID Breakfast and departure for Puebla de Sanabria, beautiful town situated next to the area of Sanabria Lake. Lunch. Free time and continuation of the trip to Madrid. Arrival and end of services.
