DAY 1 MADRID – ESCORIAL – VALLEY OF THE FALLEN – SEGOVIA – ÁVILA Meet at the agreed upon time in order to leave by coach for the Escorial to see the Monastery built by Philip II to house the Pantheon of the Kings. Continuation to the Valley of the Fallen, and tour of this impressive monument, in which we can admire the Basilica excavated in the rock and the imposing 150 meter tall cross. Continuation to Segovia, Roman city rich in historic monuments. The aqueduct, the cathedral and the Alcázar stand out. Lunch and Continuation to Ávila, birthplace of Saint Teresa. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 2 AVILA – SALAMANCA Breakfast and panoramic tour of this city surrounded by walls from the 11th century, where we can admire the Convent of the Incarnation, the Romanesque Cathedral, houses and palaces built in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, etc. Departure for Salamanca. Lunch and panoramic tourof this monumental city, which has one of the oldest universities in Europe. We can admire the Old Cathedral and the New Cathedral, the House of las Conchas (the Seashell House), which has one of the most celebrated facades in all of Spain, etc. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 3 SALAMANCA – VALLADOLID – PALENCIA – BURGOS Breakfast. Departure for Valladolid, an ancient city, whose foundation predates the Roman domination, located on a vast plain watered by the Pisuerga and Esgueva Rivers. It includes, among other monuments, the cathedral, the Church of the Holy Cross, etc. Continuation to Palencia, where we will have Lunch. After Lunch, we will continue on to Burgos. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 4 BURGOS Breakfast. Morning panoramic tour of the city, scene of a large part of the legendary deeds of Cid The Champion and one of the most interesting cities because of the monuments found within it that give an idea of the importance that it had in earlier times. We can admire the impressive Gothic Cathedral. Lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 5 BURGOS – SANTO DOMINGO DE SILOS – SORIA Breakfast. Departure for Santo Domingo de Silos, which has one of the oldest monasteries in Spain and represents one of the most grandiose works of Medieval European art. Lunch en route. Continuation to Soria. Dinner and lodging.
DAY 6 SORIA – MEDINACELI – SIGÜENZA – MADRID Breakfast. Tour of this Castilian city, its stately streets, the portal of the Church of Saint Dominic, etc. Lunch. Continuation to Medinaceli, town of emblazoned houses that features an arcaded Main Square, the palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli, the Roman arch, etc. Continuation to Sigüenza, which has one of the most beautiful central squares of the Renaissance, the Cathedral from the 12th century, the medieval Quarter flanked by old houses, some Renaissnce, like the Doncel House, and other Baroque, etc. Continuation to Madrid and end of services
