Champagne, Alsace and Burgundy

DAY 1 MADRID – PARIS – REIMS – STRASBOURG Meeting in Madrid-Barajas Airport at the scheduled time to leave on a flight to Paris. Arrival and departure for Epernay, capital of the region of Champagne, colored by thousands of flowers and hills with fields of vineyards that extend as far as the eye can see. We will visit a champagne wine cellar. Continuation to Reims. Lunch. City tour. Key city of the history of the West, where the kings de France were crowned, city with a magnificent cast of monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among them the magnificent Gothic Cathedral stands out. Continuation to Strasbourg. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 2 STRASBOURG Breakfast. (If you wish, we can visit the European Parliament) Departure to take a panoramic tour of Strasbourg with local guide, beginning with the Grande Île, location of the Cathedral of Strasbourg, known pricipally for its sandstone construction and a large astronomical clock. It is the fourth tallest church in the world and an ornamented example Gothic architecture from the 15th century. Also renowned is its urban landscape of typically Rhenish buildings with wood in black and white, where the celebrated Maison Kammerzel stands out. Lunch. Afternoon free. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 3 STRASBOURG – EXCURSION OBERNAI – RIBEAUVILLE Breakfast. Departure for Obernai, fully entering into the famous Alsacian wine route. A part of its colored and its aesthetic exquisiteness is one of the most visited cities of the Lower Rhine, the heart of the most authentic Alsacia. Its location, shows us a beautiful landscape of vineyards, typical Alsacian houses and its center of medieval origin. We continue on to Ribeaville, where we will stroll through its cobbled streets with medieval and Renaissance houses and with its characteristic half-timbering. Lunch. Return to the hotel. Dinner and lodging

DAY 4 STRASBOURG – EXCURSION COLMAR AND MULHOUSE Breakfast. In the morning we will take a panoramic tour of Colmar, with an important heritage. In the middle of the historic center rise German Gothic and Renaissance buildings, highlighting “Maison des Têts,” which receives its name from the more than 150 grotesque faces that are carved in its façade. Lunch. In the afternoon we will leave for Mulhouse. Tour of this old industrial city that has known how to preserve an important heritage, where we will contemplate the Town Hall from the 15th century and its magnificent Old Town. Return to Strasbourg. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 5 STRASBOURG – DIJON Breakfast. In the morning we will leave for Dijon. Lunch. In the afternoon, city tour of the capital of the Duchy of Burgundy. Among its monuments we highlight the Ducal Palace, where currently is located Town Hall, the Museum of Fine Art, one of the the oldest in France, the Old Neighborhood, beautiful medieval neighborhood that is organized around the palace de the Dukes, the covered market, the Church de Our Lady of Dijon, Gothic masterpiece that dates from the 12th century, declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 6 DIJON – EXCURSION TO BORGOÑA “THE WINE ROUTE” Breakfast. In the morning we will take a full day excursion with lunch along the Route of the Great Wines, also called “the Champs-Élysées ” of Burgundy, which runs from Dijon to Santenay, traveling through Nuits-Saint-Georges and Beaune. We will get to know the great wines of Burgundy through a journey with great charm and picturesque landscapes. Splendid churches and ancient castles will cros sour paths. But without doubt, the wines are the Best guarded treasure of these lands, with its interminable fields of vineyards. Return to Dijon. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 7 DIJON – GENEVA Breakfast. Morning departure for Geneva. Lunch. In the afternoon panoramic tour of the city, central seat of the United Nations that conserves an interesting Old Town, in which we highlight the Gothic Cathedral of Saint Peter, the Monument to the Reformation, the Dufour Square, the City Hall, etc. the main axis is formed by the Mont Blanc Avenue, which crosses Lake Leman and from which you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the island of Rosseau in the backgroud. Boatride on the Lake Leman. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 8 GENEVA – MADRID Breakfast. Departure for Chamonix – Mont Blanc including the ascent in the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi, that will take us from Chamonix to the summit of Mont Blanc, the highest point in Western Europe and one of the tallest in the rest of Europe, surpassed only by some mountains in Russia and Georgia. Lunch and tranfer to the Airport of Geneva to leave on a flight to Madrid. END OF SERVICES
