Galicia and Portugal II

DAY 1 MADRID – LUGO 8:00 A.M. departure from our terminal (San Bernardo, 7) for Lugo, in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 2 LUGO – A CORUÑA Breakfast. Departure for A Coruña. Brief overview of the city. In the afternoon optional excursion through the typical towns of the Upper Rías: Pontedeume, Betanzos, etc. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 3 A CORUÑA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA Breakfast. Departure for Santiago de Compostela. City tour, important pilgrimage center (Obradoiro Square, Cathedral, etc.). Afternoon free. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 4 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – LOWER RÍAS – VIGO Breakfast and departure for the Lower Rías, through splendid landscapes, Toja Island, Arosa Ría and Pontevedra. Continuation to Vigo. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 5 VIGO – SALAMANCA Breakfast. Departure for the Autonomous Community of Castile-León via Zamora to arrive in Salamanca. Afternoon free to get to know its old town and the famous Main Square. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 6 SALAMANCA – COIMBRA Breakfast. Midmorning Departure for Ciudad Rodrigo and the Portuguese border to continue on, via Guarda, to Coimbra, seat of one fo the oldest universities in Europe and birthplace of Fado. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 7 COIMBRA – FATIMA – LISBON Breakfast and departure for Fátima, important pilgrimage center. Free time to visit the Basilica and later Continuation to Lisbon, capital of Portugal situated at the mouth of the Tagus River. Lodging.

DAY 8 LISBON Lodging and Breakfast. Morning panoramic tour of the city: Alfama Neighborhood, Tower of Belem, The Hieronymites Monastery, etc. Afternoon free. Optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.

DAY 9 LISBON – MERIDA – MADRID Breakfast. Departure for Mérida. Lunch and tour of the Roman Theater. Later Continuation to Madrid. Arrival and end of services.
